Zucchini and Cherry Tomato

Featuring Newman’s Own® Marinara Pasta Sauce


Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 13 minutes
Serves: 4-6

1 tablespoon olive oil
500g beef, minced
3 cloves garlic, crushed
300g zucchini, coarsely grated
250g cherry tomatoes
645ml bottle Newman’s Own Marinara Sauce
375g penne pasta
1 cup coarsely chopped fresh basil leaves
sea salt & ground black pepper
grated parmesan cheese, to serve






1. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over a high heat. Add minced beef and garlic. Cook, stirring to break up beef, until browned.

2. Add zucchini, cherry tomatoes and Marinara sauce. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, cook pasta as directed on the packet and return to saucepan.

3. Stir basil, salt and pepper into sauce. Add to pasta and stir to combine. Serve topped with parmesan cheese.
